Hello, the correct usage of the csc is:

csc source.cs

So just add the name of the source file that you are trying to compile

Hope this will help you: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/986221/tfs-build-server-csc-fatal-error-cs2008-no-inputs-specified http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/msbuild/thread/936e130b-f973-4aaa-adf8-f2c553c84cf1/

You should use the following syntax:

csc /t:exe /output:ApplicationName.exe sourceFile.cs

Then simply run the exe. However, note that you will need to specify the full UNC path of the file.

Just wondering, why don't you use VS2012 or VS2012Express edition?

Yea, and if you are a student you can get VS2012 professional for free from this link https://www.dreamspark.com/ . Just sign in , verify your account and you can download it with a free license.
